Speciality Coffee now has an affordable high quality green option to replace unsustainable plastic and plastic lined cups. Our 100% compostable 8 oz triple wall bubble textured paper cups are suitable for both hot and cold drinks. What makes these bubble textured cup so special is that the liner is made from a plant material called Polylactide acid (PLA), it looks and behaves like polyethylene and polypropylene (Plastic) as used in standard plastic cups and plastic lined paper cups. The triple wall has an extra thick bubble textured paper layer that offers superb insulation from the heat emitted from the drink. Here’s the green techy bit, the molecules in these PLA cups slowly absorb water and swell up, causing them to break apart into small fragments that bacteria can digest more readily and become compost.
